HPSI is led by a dedicated group of professionals, including 6 officers, multiple directors, and is advised by the immediate past president.

Each year in May, elections are held for all officers and directors, who serve one-year terms. Elections are held by secret ballot. Board members are sworn in at the Graduates' Presentation Event.

To be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors, candidates must be members in good standing, graduates of accredited 4-year universities, and elected by the membership. For more information on the positions, please contact the HPSI President listed below.

Demetra L. Markopoulos is the Founder of CarsDiva.com, "An online community created By, For & About Women and the Car Business." CarsDiva.com is a professional and social network, catered to women automotive consumers, enthusiasts and those working within automotive-related industries.

Prior to this, Demetra was Vice President, Marketing & Business Development of the Corporation of Automotive Remarketing, Inc. (CAR), the creator of Driveitaway.com & Carliquidators.com, the global leaders in upstream remarketing for rental car operators and commercial fleets.

Markopoulos was also a Production Supervisor for Univision Communications, and an International Customer Service representative for Harken, Inc. She has a BA from Northwestern University, with a double major in International Studies and Hispanic Studies.

George Logothetis is a Manager at Accenture, one of the world's leading management and technology consulting firms.  Within the Products Operating Group, his primary focus is Retail and Supply Chain consulting for Fortune 500 companies.

George graduated with honors from DePaul University with a Bachelors degree in Information Systems.

Frankie Kazas graduated in 2005 with high honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Supply Chain Management and a minor in Spanish. He also spent a summer semester studying abroad in Granada, Spain in 2003. While at the University of Illinois, Frankie was heavily involved in the Business Council holding several committee chair positions and serving as the external vice-president. He was also named to the Alumni Association Senior 100 recognizing the top 100 seniors in the university.

Currently, Frankie is an Account Manager with Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. Cat Logistics provides third-party logistics services including inventory management, warehouse management, and transportation management to both Caterpillar and other Fortune 500 companies. Frankie is responsible for managing the contract compliance, customer satisfaction, and financial performance of 3PL services for 20 diverse business units in 7 locations for Emerson. Prior to this position, he also supported logistics services agreements for Bombardier Aerospace and Mosaic Co.

Patti is a Manager with Information Resources. Information Resources (or IRI) is the world's leading provider of enterprise market information solutions and services, driving the transformation of the consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, and healthcare industries. Ninety-five percent of the FORTUNE Global 500 in CPG and retail leverage IRI to power their business.

Within the Client Solutions Team, Patti works on the Wrigley account on-site as an Operations & Analytics Manager. Prior to her experience at IRI, Patti worked with global CPG manufacturers as a Senior Analyst at ACNielsen.

Patti graduated from DePaul University in June 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Honors Marketing (IME - Integrated Marketing Education Program).

As a consultant with Treasury Strategies, Inc., Ms. Pappas contributes to the Financial Services practice in the areas of revenue management, market analysis, business strategy, and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Treasury Strategies, Ms. Pappas spent 3 years in the financial services industry working with Citi Smith Barney and UBS Financial Services, Inc. During her tenure, she gained experience in capital markets and economic research, investment performance analysis, and client relationship management.

Ms. Pappas graduated cum laude with her BSBA in International Business and her International MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. She has extensive overseas experience and speaks Greek, Spanish, and conversational Italian.

Alexander Facklis is an application development specialist within Accenture's CIO Organization. In this role, he develops internal applications to support Accenture's businesses. He works closely with several other CIO groups, most intimately with application product management and delivery centers in various locations around the world, including the Philippines, India, and Argentina.

Prior to his current role in Accenture CIO, Mr. Facklis developed training and methodology applications for Accenture Learning, Accenture's training outsourcing arm. He began his career with Andersen Consulting working on technology engagements for clients throughout North America within Technology Integration Services.

He has served in a variety of roles across the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), on a broad range of projects, using various technologies.

Alexandra is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor is sociology. During her undergraduate studies Alexandra studied abroad at the American College of Thessaloniki. She then attended the American School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University graduating with her masters in Clinical Psychology in November 2009.

Jenna C. Bishop is a Risk Management Specialist with the ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company. Jenna works with physicians and their respective staffs addressing risk management concerns. Jenna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Public Relations from the University of Mississippi and a Masters in Adult and Continuing Education in Training and Development degree from the University of Phoenix.

Tom Gregory is an attorney at law and practices in his own firm of "GREGORY & LAI" in Barrington, Illinois. He focuses his law practice in the areas of business law, real estate law, employment law, probate, and personal injury law. Before starting his own practice, Tom worked for a mid-sized law firm in Chicago concentrating in civil litigation. Tom particularly excels as a trial attorney and has tried numerous cases throughout Chicago and the surrounding counties. Compared to other lawyers of similar age and experience, Tom is commonly considered by his peers as an outstanding litigation and trial strategist.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Tom practiced several years as a Certified Public Accountant for such large accounting firms as Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse. He gained real world business experiences during those years representing corporate and individual clients. Now, many of his law clients often seek him out for not only legal advice, but also tax and accounting counseling. Tom's unique dual professional background has given him great opportunities and has propelled him to be amongst one of the most exemplary Hellenic professionals in the Chicago area.

Isidora Kafkas is a nationally certified Physician Assistant. She received her training and Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Marquette University. Kafkas has experience in Emergency Medicine, and currently works in the Neurology department at Evanston Hospital, focusing on Neuro-Oncology and inpatient care. Her strong interests in people, culture and science led her to pursue a career in medicine.

George has an MBA from the University of Chicago in International Business, Marketing Management, Behavioral Science and Business Policy. He is currently an Executive Recruiter at SRI and a part-time Business Lecturer at Wilbur Wright College. Prior experiences include Project Management at MCI Worldcom; Direct Sales and Web Development at John's Import Foods; Customer Satisfaction and Inventory Control at Velsicol Chemical Corporation. George is the HPSI Quarterly Newsletter Publisher and in the past, has served as Vice President and Recording Secretary.

Michael LaMonica is an attorney at Lindner & Lindner, Ltd. In 2004, Michael graduated with highest distinction from Indiana University with a bachelors degree in psychology and a minor in history. He then attended the Chicago Kent College of Law, where he obtained his J.D. degree in 2007.

Michael is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyer's Association, Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Michael's practice is dedicated to civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury and contract disputes.

Chris Massouras has over 12 years of consulting experience and serves as a Senior Manager within Ernst & Young's Technology Services division. His areas of expertise include assisting clients with Program Management, Portfolio Management, IT Strategy & Effectiveness, Application Rationalization and designing and developing large scale enterprise portals.

Effie Papageorge is a Recruiting Consultant for Fortune 500 companies based in the Chicago-land area. She started her career as a third-party IT recruiter, but in the past several years she has become a key player in the corporate recruiting world, at Fortune 500 companies like Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, CNA and Allstate Insurance as well as National Consulting firms like Huron Consulting Group and Andersen. Her expertise lies in Executive Recruiting on a National-basis for Finance, Accounting, Engineering, IT, Sales/Marketing and HR professionals. In addition to recruiting, Effie is an active volunteer for Jobs For Youth, where she helps underprivileged youngsters explore career options, learn job-hunting skills, and discover the value of an education. She holds a B.S. in Psychology, with a minor in HR management, from Loyola University in Chicago.

Peter Pappas has a B.A. from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a major in Economics and an M.B.A from DePaul University with a major in Finance. Peter has years of sales experience in the insurance, software, and IT staffing industries. Peter also has years of experience in the banking industry.
