HPSI
is lead by a dedicated group of professionals, including
6 officers, 13 directors and advisement by the immediate
past president.
Each
year in May, elections are held for all officers and
directors, who will serve for one-year terms. Elections
are held by secret ballot. Board members are sworn-in
each June at the Graduates' Presentation Event.
In
order to be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors,
candidates must be members in good standing, graduates
of accredited 4-year universities, and elected by the

Tom Gregory is an attorney at law and practices in his
own firm of "GREGORY & LAI" in Barrington, Illinois. He
focuses his law practice in the areas of business law,
real estate law, estate planning, family law, and
personal injury law. Before starting his own practice,
Tom worked for a mid-sized law firm in Chicago
concentrating in civil litigation. Tom particularly
excels as a trial attorney and has tried numerous cases
throughout Chicago and the surrounding counties.

her career as a third-party IT recruiter, but in the
past several years she has become a key player in the
corporate recruiting world, at Fortune 500 companies
like Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, CNA and Allstate Insurance
as well as National Consulting firms like Huron
Consulting Group and Andersen. Her expertise lies in
Executive Recruiting on a National-basis for Finance,
Accounting, Engineering, IT, Sales/Marketing and HR
professionals. In addition to recruiting, Effie is an
active volunteer for Jobs For Youth, where she helps
underprivileged youngsters explore career options, learn
job-hunting skills, and discover the value of an

For the past five years, Alex Floutsis has been a
Laboratory Manager at Quest Diagnostics in Schaumburg,
overseeing a staff of thirty employees at one of the
largest Histology laboratories in the UnitedStates.
Previously, Alex was a Lab Manager, and he held similar
positions for ten years, at a south suburban hospital.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in History from Purdue
University.
Alex is currently Historian for HPSI, which includes
photography for the organization. Alex has been a
professional photographer as a sidelight in the past,
and he heartily enjoys the position at HPSI.
In the past, Alex has been active in a number of
philanthropic endeavors, and he has raised significant
funds for missionary trips, including an orphanage in
Guatemala. He looks forward to potential future
philanthropic opportunities at HPSI.

Frankie Kazas graduated in 2005 with high honors from
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a
B.S. in Supply Chain Management and a minor in Spanish.
He also spent a summer semester studying abroad in
Granada, Spain in 2003. While at the University of
Illinois, Frankie was heavily involved in the Business
Council holding several committee chair positions and
serving as the external vice-president. He was also
named to the Alumni Association Senior 100 recognizing
the top 100 seniors in the university.
Currently, Frankie is an Account Manager with
Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc., a wholly owned
subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. Cat Logistics provides
third-party logistics services including inventory
management, warehouse management, and transportation
management to both Caterpillar and other Fortune 500
companies. Frankie is responsible for managing the
contract compliance, customer satisfaction, and
financial performance of 3PL services for 20 diverse
business units in 7 locations for Emerson. Prior to this
position, he also supported logistics services
agreements for Bombardier Aerospace and Mosaic Co.
